About Me

Hi! I'm Bijan K Ghosh.

I am currently working as a Consultant in an Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company for the last 18+ years. I was in overseas deputation in the United States of America for 8 years and in United Kingdom for 1 year. I have also gained close to 2 years' experience in teaching at the very beginning of my professional career. I have completed my master's in computer application from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.

I have been very passionate about Life Coaching for quite some time. I am a CCA (Certified Coaches Alliance) certified Life Coach and Relationship Coach.

Life Coaching Structure

Life Coaching structure is intentionally kept simple for smooth execution and better output. There are few steps that the both the life coach and the client should follow.

Generally, people look for life coaches for support in ensuring better life, better career, happier and meaningful life. A life coach can certainly help people if there are indications listed below but not limited to:

  • Life Coaching is purely a process driven but simple personal mentoring which can help clients to amicably deal with their problems and balance out their dynamics of life. In addition, clients will be enabled, energized, and motivated to discover their innate skills and competencies. This will help them neutralize every challenges in life on their own and ensure overall wellbeing.
    Coaching sessions will be scheduled between the Coach and the Client. Depending upon the type of problem, Coach will decide the number of sessions. This should be anywhere between 8 to 12. The duration of each session will be restricted between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The conversation will be open, honest, and candid. It must be noted that both parties will agree to a coaching agreement to protect the confidentiality of information.
    A life coach encourages clients on a variety of professional and personal issues. Life coaching is completely different from giving advice, consulting, counselling, and administering therapy. A coach helps you grow by analyzing your current situation, identifying demotivating beliefs and other potential challenges and obstacles you face. He/she then devises a custom plan of action designed to help you achieve specific outcomes in your life.

    The relationship between a client and their life coach is more like a creative partnership than a one-way traffic. From your first meeting, you will:

  • Identify, clarify and create a vision for what you want
  • Use your coach's expertise to modify goals as needed
  • Encourage self-discovery and growth
  • Foster accountability to increase productivity
  • Coaching conversation can be in-person or virtual based on the comfort level of Client. Considering the preference of client, coach will decide upon the appropriate meeting options.
    Clients need to focus on what is discussed during last coaching session and they should align themselves with the action items discussed and agreed in the session. There is no definite time that clients need to block per day.
    Any individual irrespective of age can look for support from a Life Coach.
    Life Coaching is completely different than counselling. Coach focus on identifying and discovering client’s innate skill and competency. This will effectively help client to build meaningful and workable solution to all their incumbent problems. Essentially coach will encourage clients for their personal development and self-improvement. Counselling is a form of talking therapy associated with assessing the individual in the here and now. A counsellor will help clients develop coping mechanisms and strategies to move forward with their life.

    “I have been deputed to an onsite (outside India) assignment for more than a year. So far, I haven't not yet tied the knot and hence I was living a balanced (according to me) single life.
